Boiler Installation & Service

From our base in Warsash, GloWell Gas & Heating Services cover all immediate surrounding areas, including Warsash, Locks Heath, Fareham, Stubbington, Hedge End, Whiteley, Botley, Wickham, Bishops Waltham and the wider Hampshire area.

Whatever age your boiler, call us for all your service and repair needs. We will check your appliance is safe and working as it should be. GloWell is Gas Safe registered and all work is conducted in strict accordance with the Gas Safety (Installations & Use) Procedures 1998. Upon completion a full report of work undertaken is provided for your records.

When your boiler is due for replacement or if you need it re-located, contact us for a no-obligation quote.

Hob Installation & Service

Many gas hob manufacturers now stipulate that connection to a gas supply be made by using a rigid connection, rather than by a flexible hose. This involves making a fixed connection from your hob to your house gas supply, and as such must be carried out by a competent Gas Safe Registered engineer. We offer this service at very competitive rates, so contact us for details and a chat about your requirements.

Fire Servicing & Repair

It is very important to have your gas fire regularly serviced – ideally every year.
The flue and chimney, room ventilation, coal condition and gas combustion are all essential components of your fire, and for your safety we can thoroughly check it over, giving it a full service and providing you with peace of mind.

If your fire won’t light like it used to, if the flame picture doesn’t look right or if you’re unsure about the safety of your fire, don’t light it until you have given us a call.

Landlord Gas Safety Checks

GloWell Gas & Heating Services work extensively throughout Hampshire carrying out annual Landlord Gas Safety Checks.

Aside of being a legal requirement, as a landlord you will want to know that your tenants are safe and that any gas appliances installed in your property are intrinsically safe and working as they should.

We carry out all Landlord Gas Safety Checks and Inspections in accordance with Gas Safety (installations & Use) Procedures 1998.

Comprehensive reports are immediately forwarded to you for your records and safe-keeping, providing a valuable record of the condition of your gas appliances, CO and smoke alarms, safety devices, ventilation and flues.

To make life easier, a record of all appliances by location is stored along with key dates for when your next Landlord Gas safety Checks are due, so you won’t ever find yourself with a certificate out of date.

We provide a reliable and efficient service and can schedule Landlord Gas Safety Checks and inspections around you and your tenants needs.

We are happy to provide an independent, no obligation quote for any additional work you may need.

Power Flushing

Over time, silt and sludge can build up in your central heating pipework. Older systems which use feed and expansion header tanks in the loft, are particularly susceptible, but without an inhibitor added to the water running around your radiators, over time any system will have a build up of a grey or brown sludgy sand. This sludge tends to gather and settle in the bottom of your radiators and around radiator valves; in minor cases system efficiency is severely reduced, costing you more in gas as your boiler struggles to get your radiators up to temperature – you will often find large triangular cold spots in the bottom of your radiators where this sludge has collected. In worst cases it can totally block pipe-ways and stop heat getting to parts of your home, and if this sludge causes a blockage close to your boiler or pump, your boiler will stop running altogether.

Power flushing is a process that forces water around the separate parts of your heating system in turn, driving this debris out and leaving your radiators and pipework clean and restoring your heating system efficiency.

Following a power flush, an inhibitor is added to help prevent further build up.

We can also fit a magnetic system filter from as little as £199*

This filter is cleaned out every time your boiler service is carried out, and as water circulates around your heating system, the magnetic filter catches any particles (magnetite) and holds onto them, stopping further build up.
